The story of Desmond Doss, an Army medic who saved 75 men in
World War 2 without firing a weapon. This film is fantastic from
beginning to end with a great cast, beautiful cinematography, and tons of
intense moments. Andrew Garfield is truly wonderful playing the lead character and
definitely deserves a Oscar or a Academy Award. I was blown away by his acting
and how he never was too over dramatic. If you are familiar with Mel Gibson’s
films like Braveheart, Passion of Christ, and Apoclypto, you would know that he
never shies away from gore or violence. This is more graphic than Saving
Private Ryan and American Sniper put together. It’s not for the faint of heart
at all. If you can handle carnage very well than I recommend you see this as
soon as possible. It’s also VERY intense! There were moments where I forgot to
breathe or I would tense up. I couldn’t find anything wrong with the film at all
and without a doubt buy it as soon as it comes out on blu ray. Verdict: 9.4
